North American Healthcare Foot Rocker
Description: The North American Healthcare Foot Rocker was developed by sports professionals to help you relieve lower body pain quickly, safely, and easily with a rocking stretch. This one-size-fits-all rocker is designed to position your foot optimally, so that you can work and stretch the muscles, tendons, and ligaments of your foot and lower leg by simply following the foot rocker’s three, 30-second stretches. This simple device was developed to provide an effective way to relieve the lower body pain associated with plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, ankle strain, arch pain, and other chronic conditions.
Why: A foot rocker was a lifesaver for me after my Achilles tendon tear. Not only did I need to get my full range of motion back to its old form, I actually need to go BEYOND what I was before. This rocker use dynamic stretching to help stretch your ligaments, tendons and calf muscles in a very simple way. It is safe to use before a run (as long as you are doing dynamic stretching) and after your run for a nice cool down stretch.
Description: While aiding in physical mobility and flexibility, the Stretch EZ’s cradle design encompasses the foot allowing for a comfortable stretch to the foot, heel, Achilles tendon, hamstring, quadriceps, inner/outer thigh and calf. Made of a comfortable poly laminate and webbing, this unique stretching aide assists in the treatment of plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, calf, thigh, hip and low back strains and injuries. Strap loops allow for personal control of each stretch. OPTP Stretch-EZ
Why: This was another product I used a lot while stretching out my tendon. This is perfect for after a long run while your muscles are still warm enough to stretch safely. Use this to get a little more range of motion in your calves and your foot in general.
Slant Board, Adjustable Incline Calf Stretch
Description: The RiversEdge Adjustable Stretch Board helps increase your flexibility and improve your posture. The birch wood frame is finished with a clear poly coat and it ready to use out of the box. Aids in the rehabilitation of Achilles tendon injuries, shin splints, calf strains and other lower leg injuries. Another advantage of the slant board is that when both feet are placed on it then you can quickly tell if one leg is tighter than the other which could be a possible imbalance and injury risk. 300 lb. weight capacity.
Why: Another Achilles tendon favorite (see a pattern here?) This was used a lot while rehabilitating my tendon and the rest of the leg during physical therapy. It was so good though, that I bought one to have at home as well.
